Highland Journey SCOTLAND

September 6  - September 15, 2023

Scotland the Brave and proud Celtic nation. Home to the Highlanders, Scotch whiskey and the haunting airs of the pipes myth, legend and romance. Unconquered by Rome the highlands of Scotland have retained a unique and ancient culture, language and tradition known and loved the world over.

Fairy Glenns  ●  Ghost Haunts  ●  Story Telling ●

Rewylding of Divine Feminine

Brigid's Cross  ● Healing Wells  ●  Caves of the Wyld
Magick ● Ritual  ●  Sisterhood

The island of Iona in Scotland founded by St.Columba one of the most famous Celtic Christian monasteries and hermitages in western Christendom or beyond. Known as the University of the west and famed as a haven of peace and learning. It was here over 1500 years ago that European civilization survived the dark ages in no small part thanks to the magic elixir being distilled by the monks.

Whiskey! Some of the finest and certainly the oldest whiskies in the world are distilled in the remote and wild corners of these islands.

The Scottish highlands, home to kilt wielding warriors of otherworldly courage. William Wallace, Stirling castle and sweeping romantic tales of wild kings, Giants and of course... the bloody English.

It is an exciting time indeed to visit Scotland as a well established brewing and distilling tradition compliments a fast growing culinary trail that follows the highland tourist trail. With access to some of the finest and freshest produce in all of Europe this food trail is quickly gaining a reputation for unrivalled quality and excellence in place like Oban, the home of seafood in the north. Combine this with the steadfast scottish highland tradition of boiling everything in a sheep’s stomach and you have a recipe for… well you have a recipe anyway!

Scotland is an adventure and outdoor pursuits destination par excellence. Mountain-biking, hiking and kayaking are to name but a few of the activities that have expanded our appreciation and access to this beautiful and secluded corner of the world.

Literally dozens of walking and hiking trails to choose from of varying difficulty from riverside forest strolls to highland passes are accessible year round. Add to all this SHANKEE’s unique style and approach, family tradition of storytelling and mythmaking and it is easy to see a recipe for an amazing and fun filled experience for any visitor to the Celtic northwest of Europe.

This tour is different from other spiritual tours… it's an experience that combines the bonding with a group of likeminded souls, visiting and immersing yourself in mystical places of power, myth, and legend, as well as a fun-filled vacation in another country.  You can partake in the playful dance of energy experienced in the fairy places we will visit, spectacular breathtaking landscapes, heartfelt ceremonies to honour the land and each other, as well as some good Scottish fun!  We will have a free-flowing magickal experience of this land to enable you to connect with the power of your inner witch (we all have it), including both individual and group ceremony.  So, if you are someone who wants an adventure, mystical experience that combines a spiritual journey and light-hearted fun in Scotland, this is your trip.
