Important Information & FAQ
“There is no greater journey than the one that brings you home to yourself - and in Scotland, the land remembers you before you arrive.”
Scotland 8-Day Tour
Friday, October 9th – Friday, October 16th, 2026
Please read carefully before booking!
WHO IS THIS JOURNEY FOR?
This journey is for anyone who identifies as a woman and feels called to explore Scotland through a soulful, magical, and sisterhood-centered experience. All ages are welcome - from Maiden to Mother to Crone. I do recommend participants be 16+.

WHAT TYPES OF SISTERS JOIN GILLIAN’S TOURS?
My tours tend to attract adventurous, intuitive, open-hearted, and open-minded women. Women who love story, nature, history, ritual, and shared experiences. Women who value kindness and sisterhood, and who honour their own needs while supporting the needs of others. You do not need to be a seasoned traveler - just come with curiosity, respect, and a willingness to step into the unknown with an open heart.

HOW MANY WYLD SISTERS?
We will travel with a small, intimate group of 16 Wyld Sisters (including Gillian). This keeps our journey personal, connected, and deeply transformative.

ACTIVITY LEVEL
Scotland’s beauty is raw, rugged, and elemental - which means you may encounter:
-
uneven ground
-
stone steps
-
steep paths
-
rocky terrain
-
wet, windy weather
-
mud, puddles, and the occasional sheep poo
-
enclosed spaces or cairns
-
walking across fields, grass, or hills
Some days are gentle strolls. Some days are adventurous and involve moderate hiking. A general level of fitness is required so you can enjoy the full experience. Please take personal ownership of your physical abilities and honour your body throughout the trip.

FLIGHTS
Your travel arrangements to and from the tour starting point in Edinburgh are your responsibility.

Please wait to book flights until I confirm the tour is officially “good to go.” This confirmation will be sent once we reach the minimum number of registered sisters — at least 6 months prior to departure.

You will be flying into and out of Edinburgh (EDI).

A note about flights from Canada:
Direct flights to Edinburgh are not always available in October, depending on your departure city. You may need to take one connection, which is very common for travel to Scotland at this time of year.

Another option is to fly directly into London, then take a short flight or train up to Edinburgh. UK domestic flights are often very affordable - I’ve personally flown from Edinburgh to London for about $100 CAD, including extra luggage.

SHARING ROOMS
Sharing a room can be a beautiful experience - many women who meet as strangers leave as lifelong friends.

If you’re joining solo and would like to share, I’ll send out a short questionnaire to get a feel for your preferences, rhythms, and vibe - and I’ll match roommates with care and intention.

Important note:
Due to limited hotel availability in some remote areas of Scotland, there are only 3 single rooms available. These will be offered on a first-come basis. The beautiful news? For three nights of the trip, everyone - even shared-room guests - will have their own private room. A perfect blend of sisterhood and solitude.

ACCOMMODATION
Our Scotland journey takes us through a mix of regions, from vibrant towns to remote islands and our accommodations reflect this beautiful variety.

We will be staying in comfort-focused hotels throughout the trip. Some are simple and modern (think Holiday Inn style), while others are older historic properties full of Scottish charm, character, and old-world atmosphere. And we finish with a stay in a lovely, more upscale hotel to close our journey in comfort.

While these are not luxury properties, they are all clean, welcoming, safe, and chosen with care based on location, access to our sacred sites, and the unique experience they bring to our adventure.

Each hotel offers its own flavour of Scotland, from modern simplicity to traditional charm, giving us a true sense of the land and its spirit.

BEFORE & AFTER THE TOUR
I highly recommend arriving in Edinburgh two days before our journey begins, if possible. Edinburgh is an extraordinary city - full of history, mystery, witchy energy, and breathtaking beauty, and giving yourself that extra time allows you to wander, explore, adjust to the time zone, and soak it all in at a gentle pace.

I will happily share my favourite recommendations: sacred sites, magickal shops, cafés, viewpoints, and hidden corners of Edinburgh that truly capture its spirit.

The night before the tour begins, we’ll gather for a relaxed bonus meet-up - a chance to connect, laugh, enjoy a little Scottish fun, and meet your fellow Wyld Sisters before we start our pilgrimage together.

Important:
Because our tour begins first thing in the morning on Day One, arriving at least one day early is essential.

After the Tour
We will return to Edinburgh in the late afternoon on our final day. If you’re flying back to Canada, please know that most flights depart in the afternoon, which means: You will likely need to stay one extra night in Edinburgh before flying home.

This gives you a comfortable buffer, time to rest, and an easy, stress-free departure the next day.
WHERE WE ARE MEETING
We will meet at Bus Stand ZE, Waterloo Place, Edinburgh (EH1 3BQ) on the morning of Day One. Details and exact timing will be provided closer to our journey.
Before the tour begins, I will set up a WhatsApp group for our Wyld Sisters. This is the easiest way to communicate during the trip and to share photos and updates.

CURRENCY & SPENDING MONEY
Scotland uses the British Pound (GBP). Debit and credit cards (especially Visa and MasterCard) are accepted widely. Plan for about £15–£20 per day for lunches, plus snacks or extra treats. You may also wish to put aside a tip for our driver/guide - generally £40–£60 is the average, though always optional.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is strongly recommended, including:
-
trip cancellation
-
trip interruption
-
international medical coverage
-
lost luggage protection
Life happens - delays, illness, and unexpected events can interrupt even the best-laid plans. Please choose a policy that supports your needs.
PASSPORT
Passports are required for international travel. Please ensure your passport has at least 6 months’ validity beyond your return date. Your airline ticket must match the name on your passport.
LUGGAGE
I recommend traveling lightly. We will be using a smaller bus than the one used on my Ireland tours, so space is more limited. A medium-sized suitcase (nothing larger, please) and a daypack are perfect.
And remember - there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing the same outfit more than once! This is not a fashion tour. This is a soul journey. Comfort always comes before style. Pack what makes your body feel good, warm, and free.
Scottish weather can shift every 10 minutes, so layers are your best friend. Travel light, travel cozy, and leave room for a few magickal treasures you may bring home.
