Yurch
A Gathering to Awaken HER-story
The Yurch was born from a call I could no longer ignore. This is not one of my usual circles. It is a sacred gathering space to study, reflect, and remember the stories that were buried, silenced, forgotten… especially the voices of the mothers, the healers, the mystics, and the women who carried wisdom in their bones.
I grew up within church walls and honour what those spaces offered - devotion, community, ritual, and a relationship with the sacred. And yet… I felt something missing. HER voice.
The Yurch is our playful reclaiming of that word. A blending of yurt + church - rooted in the understanding that sacred spaces do not only live in buildings or traditions… they live in circles, in stories, in the land, and within us.
This gathering exists to awaken HER-story. To make space for the Divine Feminine alongside all that came before. To remember what was forgotten and honour what still lives inside us.
The Yurch belongs to no single teacher and no one tradition.
When you say, “I’m going to Yurch,” you are naming a return - to your body’s wisdom, your intuition, your remembering.
No hierarchy.
No dogma.
Just gathering.
Just questioning.
Just remembering… together.
Welcome home.
If you’d like to catch up on past teachings or sit with the current themes, you can find recordings on my YouTube channel. I’ll continue to add to it as the Yurch unfolds.

How We Gather
We gather close to the first Sunday of each month, when time allows and I’m around, here in the yurt (Gillian's Home), beginning with tea, sitting in circle, and sharing about 1.5 hours of soulful exploration. Each gathering carries a theme. Sometimes we’re guided by story, sometimes ritual, reading, ceremony, or shared reflection. We learn, listen, question, and remember together.
This Month: Women’s Spirituality
Matriarchy, Patriarchy & the Return of the Goddess
This month, we’re opening a conversation around women’s spirituality. We’ll begin in ceremony, calling in the Goddess and exploring what Goddess might mean to each of us. From there, we’ll look at patriarchy - what it actually is, how it has shaped our relationship with our bodies, spirituality, power, the Earth, and one another, and where we may still recognize it within our own lives. And then we’ll turn toward matriarchy.
Is matriarchy simply patriarchy with women in charge? Or could it invite us into something entirely different - relationship, reciprocity, shared power, community, care, and a remembering of the sacred feminine? We’re not gathering to find one right answer. We’re gathering to get curious, share our experiences, and perhaps imagine another way. As always, all beliefs and spiritual paths are welcome here. This space is offered by donation, given from the heart, to support tea, candles, and shared offerings.
